In the late night of May 30, 2022, our 17 year old son, Logan Schaer and his beautiful girlfriend were called home to heaven in an unforeseen car accident. Logan was known for the amazing way he changed every environment he was a part of. He had a special ability to see people of all ages and connect in a deep, genuine way that showed each individual that they were loved and had a purpose on this side of heaven. He faithfully served in his local church and in missions work around the globe. To this day, we are still receiving incredible stories of impact from his legacy!

The hours that followed Logan’s passing, the “Make it Count” movement was born. It was born from Denette crying out to heaven that our son’s passing wouldn’t be in vain, but instead it would serve as an invitation for others to live a life of impact that has eternal purpose.

Like Logan, we believe EVERY student has the capacity to change the world they live in! That’s why Make It Count became not only a ministry extension of Broken for Better, but also the instrument we will use to help students remove financial burdens linked to their opportunities so they can propel into their destinies.
