A corn hole tournament was one of the last tournaments enjoyed by Kurt and his son Logan. In honor of the competitive drive and fun we always have strived to have as a family, Broken for Better held their first annual Make It Count Corn Hole Tournament. A free event for Fathers/Sons/Daughters to do nothing more than have a great day with their dad and make memories to last. The next one will be held in the spring of 2024 and we can’t wait.
This annual event not only helps families create memories, but it does so with a greater purpose. This tournament allows us the resources to continue to nurture marriages and families. Proceeds of this tournament also help students stepping into their calling. This last year with your help, we were able to grant over $25,000 in college scholarships. With those funds 12 students were capable of stepping into their next.
From family movie days to full bellies, this past year we have seen a lot of families smile because of you. Local businesses and others have partnered with us to allow families access to family fun as well as making sure families had enough food over long holidays. We count it a true blessing to be able to partner with you in our community.
On May 30, 2022, our youngest son, Logan, and his girlfriend passed away in a tragic car accident and went home to be with Jesus. It was then that Broken for Better took on a whole new meaning.
We founded and continue to support Make it Count—For Logan—and its mission: to inspire people to live a life of impact that has an eternal purpose.
